I will always remember Earl’s kind and encouraging words when I first arrived in Hollywood. 🙂 Earl was a great man.

Earl’s old friends from his alma mater, Temple University, class of ’73, are terrifically attentive to what his longtime LA-based friends are posting. Thanks for the wonderful tributes. As if today wasn’t bad enough … Earl Kress … the sweetest man on earth — the only OTHER male i knew who loved Hanna Barbera as much as i do (esp. the original Flintstones series) has passed. Wow … he will be sorely missed. Our endless conversations about animators, animation vs production cells, and just plain goofy geek talk will never be duplicated or replicated. The man knew his craft.

Deeply saddened by the loss of animation great, Earl Kress. He affected many people through his work and his life. He was kind enough to be the first guest on "Inside Alicyn’s Wonderland" and was so generous to share his insights and experiences to help others. Sending love and support to his family.

A tribute to a creative genius I truly admired, who left us too soon. Thanks, Earl Kress for all you did for fans of classic animation old and new. You will be missed.

I remember telling Earl at our last meeting at Lancer’s that, "The difference between writer and waiter is one letter." It got a big laugh out of him. I am happy to have gotten that laugh and will cherish it forever. We will miss you at the back table Earl.

Rest in peace, Earl. Keep ’em laughing up there.
